Brief Job Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Installer to head up our fireplace installation department. This person will help install mini-splits, fireplaces, and stoves in our client’s homes within our 45 mile radius of our showroom in Hood River.
This is a highly skilled position in a niche market.

Installer Assistant Job
We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual to travel to our customers' homes or businesses to install the products we sell. The installer assistant responsibilities include working with another team member to install new fireplaces, stoves, inserts, mini-splits, and hot tubs. At times, old units will need to be removed and disposed of. The assistant will help keep the work vehicle clean and stocked with supplies and materials needed for installations.
To be successful as an installer’s assistant, you should have excellent technical and mechanical skills. You should have experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools, and you should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment.
Installer Assistant Responsibilities:
Installing and testing products, equipment, and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product.
Installing home-based equipment, such as fireplaces, hot tubs, and mini-splits.
Promoting the company's services.
Maintaining your technical and mechanical skills.
Educate homeowners how to use their new fireplaces, hot tubs, and/or mini-splits
Installer Assistant Requirements:
Be self-motivated
Be fine working on roofs and be in crawl spaces.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to diagnose and solve problems during unique installations.
Ability to learn equipment and tools used in the industry.
Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
Experience:
Computer Skills: Helpful
Construction: 1 year (Required)
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
Ideal Candidate:
An individual with experience with fireplaces and/or HVAC installations.
Will have a desire to work with their hands.
Great customer service skills
Positive attitude
Works well with co-workers.
Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
Physical requirements include:
Moving hot tubs into backyards
Moving fireplaces from work vehicle into customer’s homes.
Unload and load materials on and off of trucks. Materials may weigh up to 85 lbs. and greater than 100 lbs. on occasion.
Materials are to be installed in the field on job sites and customer locations.
Squeezing into some tight spaces at times.
